Meet the Holt Twins - Jen and Rob

Jen Holt and Rob Holt

Not everyone wants to go to college with their siblings, but in some cases it really works. The Holts are a great example of just how varied your McDaniel experience will be.

Hometown: Sykesville, MD
Major: Psychology
Minor: Spanish
Extracurricular Activities: Greek Life (Phi Sigma Sigma), Cheerleading, Honors Program, Psychology Club, Active Minds, Community Service, Trumpeters Honor Society, Alpha Sigma Pi (National Society of Success and Leadership) and Psi Chi (Psychology Honor Society)

When I am not in class I like to: Hang out with my friends, family, and boyfriend and to be doing something all the time! I love to be busy. There’s never a dull moment. And I can always be counted on to have a camera in hand—I love to take pictures and to capture memories; it’s one of my favorite things to do!

Something that surprised me about McDaniel: It surprised me that McDaniel has such a diverse, yet unified system of clubs and organizations. Without the variety that McDaniel offers, my college experience would definitely have been much less exciting.

What I love about McDaniel: I love that McDaniel is such a small, close-knit community. It has been everything that I’ve ever wanted in a college experience…and more…seriously. I have made friends that I know will last long after college is over; and I have really enjoyed my years here…which is the most important part!

Why I decided to come to McDaniel: I decided to come to McDaniel mainly because of its generous financial aid, and also because of the location. I live a short 20 minutes from McDaniel, so attending McDaniel College has given me the freedom to be on my own, but also the flexibility of visiting home whenever I want.
